A case of replacing the original battery of a tricycle used in the printing industry with lithium, which needs to be replaced every 4 to 5 years!

We would like to introduce a case study of our lithium-ion battery replacement service for forklifts in the printing industry. The battery for a tricycle purchased in August 2012 was replaced in April 2016, and by August 2020, it had become unusable due to a four-year lifespan. Additionally, the operating time was approximately 8 hours a day plus some extra. After the lithium battery replacement, it operated for a maximum of 9 hours a day, discharging about 40% of 560Ah. [Lithium Case Study] Forklift in Metal Pallet Storage Warehouse

You can use it for three times longer than a lead battery of the same capacity! Here’s the story of switching to a lithium-ion battery.

A company in Kanagawa Prefecture that stores, manages inventory, and handles import/export of metal pallets has requested a diagnosis because one cell of their battery has completely stopped functioning. The battery was purchased in July 2014 and had operated for 7,100 hours by June 2020 (approximately 4.7 hours per day), indicating quite heavy usage. We proposed to replace the one cell, remove the overall sulfation, and restore the specific gravity to a consistent level. By switching the vehicle's battery to a lithium-ion battery, it can be used for container loading and will last three times longer than a lead battery of the same capacity. Case Study of Lithium for Forklifts: Astonishing Operating Time

Introducing the monitoring results where the forklift was used for a maximum of 11.7 hours with 16 hours of operation (2 shifts).

We would like to introduce a case study of the lithium-ion battery replacement service for forklifts that we provided. The lithium-ion battery used is 560Ah 48V, with a dedicated external charger of 150A specification and 30A three-phase. We monitored the real-time data from a high-usage customer via GPS, sending it to the server. Here is an example of using lithium-ion batteries in a 24-hour operating factory. Due to the quite harsh working environment, we recommended a 560Ah battery considering the fluctuations in workload, the inability to take charging breaks, and the price difference along with battery lifespan. When using lead batteries, we operated by swapping two batteries, so switching to lithium-ion batteries allowed for continuous operation without battery changes for 24 hours, which became a significant advantage. We would like to introduce a case study of our lithium-ion battery replacement service for forklifts at a mailing company. The company was using a 1.5-ton reach forklift model 7FBR15 equipped with a high-capacity 370Ah48V lead-acid battery, operating for 18 hours a day. After replacing it with a 280Ah48V lithium-ion battery, the forklift was charged approximately six times a day using a fast charger, allowing two forklifts to be operated with the capacity of one.
